Women in Red. The Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Glamour Women of the Year Awards  were held in Berkeley Sq in Mayfair in Central London and what a night.

Decided on an unusual angle for this years feature looking at the highlights but red dresses only? Don’t think anybody else has done this and they probably don’t have these shots either.

The thing is I was actually there, the papers and fashion bloggers were not hence I was in no rush to get this out by 10pm last night like the rest of the media. There are some unique shots here!

4 in my opinion that stood out on the night because of the red dress factor were naturally Kate Hudson bringing that Hollywood Wow Factor, all of Little Mix, Fearne Cotton and last but certainly not least Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

There’s something about a woman in a red dress, songs have been written about it, it takes guts and confidence to pull it off, but when it’s done right it certainly has the wow factor going on.

Photos from the Glamour Women of the Year Awards . One of the biggest awards events in the UK celebrity event calendar that attracts big name celebrities and big name photographers alike. A red carpet fashion and dress extravaganza showcasing Britain’s finest with a dash of Hollywood.

A special event for me as it marks my anniversary in this field of photography so has a very special place in my heart. This is my 4th Glamour Women of the Year Awards, 5th if you include 2011 where I was there with just a mobile phone for a camera (see Tumblr). Back then I really didn’t have the first idea but the 2012 pics have proven to be a pretty tough act to follow despite my then newb celebrity photog status.

Kate Hudson. Glamour Women of the Year awards London

With winds and rain and weather warnings for Tuesday it was looking to be a disaster but this event seems to be kinda blessed. The clouds parted, the rain stopped and the sun did it’s stuff allowing the stars to truly shine.

Celebrity arrival photos taken here from stage 1 of the arrival process from the pen where the cars pull up. My favourite pen, the stars are fresh and you are right in the thick of the action with film crew, car exit photographers, security, pr and pa. The only downside is that damn lamp post! Most stars stop for photos some don’t. Candids and posed photos although candids are difficult to get at this event as you can appreciate.

An electric atmosphere would be the understatement of the year.
