WHO IS FRANK JOHN?

 Launched on 18 November 2024 Frank John London is a deep dive into the world of the former London Celebrity Photographer Frank John launching you into the Entertainment and Showbiz World and what it is like behind the scenes as a Celebrity Photographer in London that specialises in Female Celebrities. 

Including a closer look at the gear that I used, the locations that you would be shooting at, the myriad of people you would have to deal with on a daily basis, the stress and deadlines of the job, the glamorous side and the not so glamourous side. The ups and downs and a closer look at some photos that didn't make the grade and would not be of publishing or portfolio standard but are interesting photos none the less.

AREAS COVERED

The areas covered were diverse and varied including Celebrity Awards Events, Red Carpet Paparazzi Photo shoots, Film Premieres, Promotional Events, London Celebrity Sightings, Radio and TV arrivals and departures, Hotel arrivals and departures, some surveillance work, Store Openings….the list goes on and on, basically anything that was Celebrity related and tied up with the Entertainment and Showbiz Industry. This type of work is distinct from other photo journalism such as Politics, General News or Sport which i didn't get involved with.

WHEN

I did this role from 29 May 2012 to 30 June 2015 and a lot of the work produced appeared at the Celebrity Website Famefad.com which I owned. The first ever event I covered was the Glamour Women of the Year Awards held in Berkeley Square in Mayfair, Central London on 29 May 2012. The last event was Amber heard leaving Claridges Hotel in Mayfair for the Magic Mike XXL premier in Leicester Square that was taken on 30 June 2015.

I now, via a rather convoluted route, do Black and White Fine Art Street Photography taken in and around the London area which features at the website listed below. I also on occasion do Wildlife Photography on a personal basis when the urge kicks in.

Jessie J Spotting BBC Radio 2 London. Photos

  Jessie J The Voice now into Series 2,  according to sources will be back. Tom Jones and Jessie J two of The Voice judges were spotted leaving BBC Radio 2 in Central London on Wednesday Evening.  Just happened to be walking by and  in the area with something resembling a decent camera to catch the vibe amongst the judges which was handy AGAIN! Featured photo is Jessie J giving the peace sign and is one of a series of photos taken that day along with Tom Jones leaving BBC Radio 2. Jessie J is famous for her tunes such as "Price Tag," "Domino," and "Bang Bang" and originally hails from Chadwell Heath in East London. Frankie Sandford (Bridge) and The Saturdays Spotting London.
