LFW which is organised by The British Fashion council attracts designers, models, and fashion influencers from around the world and also attracts a large amount of celebrities jostling for position on the front row of the catwalk commonly known in the trade as The FROW. As a Celebrity Photographer you have to be at this event. It is one of the essential events of the year. You haven't lived until you have! As a place to spot celebrities I would also recommend this event even if you are not a photographer.

On this mega multi stage event with all it's glitz and glamour and thumping bass lines, which is not too dissimilar to the red carpet events, celebrity photographers play a crucial role in capturing the captivating arrivals that set the tone for the entire week. London Fashion Week commonly known as (LFW) in fashion and media circles started in 1984, establishing itself as one of the "big four" fashion weeks alongside New York, Paris, and Milan. Typically held twice a year in February and September and is normally held over 4-5 days. LFW is billed in September as the Spring/Summer or S/S Event and February is billed as the Autum/Winter or A/W event. LFW takes place in iconic venues all over London, from the catwalks of Somerset House to the unconventioanl spaces of Brewer Street Car Park. These locations set the scene for the fashion elite to gather, presenting an opportunity for celebrity photographers to capture stars that will be in attendance which can be grouped into two categories. 1. Inside as in the catwalk and Front Row or The FROW and Behind the Scenes or 2. Outside as in Celebrities arriving at the event. I specialised more in the paparazzi style arrival shots and more candid moments outside the actual events. Each to their own as they say.

Very good venue. Lindley Hall, Westminster. Bit of a nightmare this venue. Big crowds and an unorganised free for all. Hyde Park (massive tent) long lenses for this one. Kensington Palace. Exit was Bayswater Road. Good venue. Tate Modern. Needs no introduction.. QE2 Conference Centre, Westminster. Opposite Wesminster Abbey but lots of tourists. and many others
